This commercial project is an addition to an existing factory in Montague Gardens, a dynamic business suburb in Cape Town. The scope of the project consisted of creating the structure for the new section using the Cobute Precast decking and beams; the stairs connected the existing ground floor to the new one. The main advantage of using these integrated solution is casting both Cobute elements in one pour, greatly reducing concrete and time costs as well as reducing cracking and cold joints.
This exciting commercial project was at Beyerskloof Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, an award winning wine farm in the Koelenhof area within the Stellenbosch Wine of Origin region. The scope of the project was to create the structure for the restaurant area and wine cellar - Cobute supplied its precast elements for decking, beams and staircase.
The Cobute precast staircase system was chosen for the Eco Home at Afrique Verte, the luxurious eco estate in Franschoek. In line with eco guidelines for the property, the Cobute stair was chosen for its structural integrity as well as its efficiency on site.
