LUCIANO KRUK | A CONCRETE OVERTURE

If you're into concrete like us, it's impossible to ignore the work by Luciano Kruk's studio in Argentina. This time, they pulled their magic in a charming setting, in a forest outside of Buenos Aires. The the mostly concrete S+J house was developed as a vacation and rental home for two families and the home is on two levels, to separate the social area to the sleeping one. The design of this residential project is minimalist, and the house is made almost entirely from board-formed concrete, which creates a texture similar to wood.

The use of clerestory windows allows light to bounce off the concrete walls and ceiling ensuring the space to be open, airy and bright. They also allow an undivided glimpse of the surrounding forest.

Our personal favourite is the stairs leading to the upstairs, minimally designed in a neat style, with wide steps.
