Stonerhurst | House Friedman

For this residential project in Stonehurst, Cape Town, Cobute collaborated with RDA Building on the structural elements of beams, slab and staircases. Designed by Pr Engineer Kenya Maria Rodriguez, the Cobute precast shutters ensures not only quick and modular installation, but the creation of an integrated and monolithic structure.

Newlands | Residential alterations & additions

When the Cobute precast shutters for decking, beams and stairs were designed in 1994, the team had one goal in mind - translating designs into light and monolithic structure with easy on-site installation. The interlocking feature of the systems as well as having the principal reinforcement cast at the factory are two of the advantages that guarantee peace of mind. These residential alterations in Newlands, Cape Town have been designed by Pr. Engineer Alan Hendrie, using the Cobute precast systems for decking, beams and edge ribs for the creation of the first floor and roof slab.

Constantia | Suspended ground floor slab

For this residential project, designed by Pr.Engineer Alan Hendrie, the Cobute elements were used for two structures, one for the garage and the other one for the main house. While the garage made use of the Cobute decking for its roof slab, the main house presented an interesting design solution. In fact, the integrated systems for beams (83m), slab (192sqm) and edge ribs (22m) were used for the creation of a suspended ground floor on stub columns. The slab span was over 6m.
